Nikenjayamochi was established in1573 on the riverbank where the pilgrims to Ise Shrine coming by ship landed on. Rice cakes are filled with smooth sweet red-bean paste, and powdered with sweetened soybean flour. Special rice cakes filled with bean jam sweetened with brown sugar are sold only every month, on the 25th.
