 | On
the day of the winter solstice （ in December ）, the sun rises from the center
of the big torii that stands at the entrance of the Uji Bridge. It's a beautiful
mysterious view.
Ise-shi Tourist Association hold Toji Matsuri （ the Winter
Solstice Festival ） on the day of the winter solstice to let people know this
festival and develop it to a tourist attraction. So, we offer a thick, sweet red
bean soup and yuzu, a citron, to people coming to see the sunrise on the day of
the winter solstice on the square in front of the Uji Bridge.
